Sergio Perez believes some within Racing Point are now "hiding things" from him after it was confirmed he would be leaving after 2020.

Prior to the Mugello GP, the Mexican was informed of his departure after seven years at the team, with Sebastian Vettel announced as his replacement the following day.

And it appears the implications of that decision are already being felt by Perez, who warned such a move could have bad repercussions.

“Since the news came out, some people inside the team tend to hide things, which I don’t think is great," he said ahead of the Russian Grand Prix.

“I think at the moment we just have to be as transparent as possible to make sure we achieve our goals and make sure that we score as many points as we possibly can.

“It’s going to be so crucial that we deliver every single point. It’s very important in the Constructors' Championship.

"We still can have the best season in our history if we manage to finish third. I think we are all going to be very disappointed if we don’t get that.”

In another setback for Perez, it has been confirmed that only Lance Stroll again will have the upgrades first used two weeks ago in Tuscany, this after the Canadian destroyed the first set of parts in his crash during the race.

However, both drivers are set to benefit from an upgrade of the rear suspension provided by Mercedes, which will see the RP20's have the same spec as the current W11.
