Sergio Perez will finally get his hands on a fully upgraded Racing Point car at this weekend's Eifel Grand Prix, the team has confirmed.

The new aero parts were first given to teammate Lance Stroll back at Mugello, but were destroyed in his high-speed crash at Arrabbiata 2 during the race.

That meant Racing Point was unable to provide both cars with the same upgrades at the last race in Sochi, as Stroll again got preference as he is ahead in the Drivers' Championship.

But though the Canadian again crashed out after being punted into the wall by Charles Leclerc on Lap 1, thankfully, there has now been enough parts produced for Perez to benefit from the upgrades at the Nurburgring.

That news will be a boost for Racing Point who find themselves in a very tight battle with McLaren and Renault for third in the Constructors' Championship.

Indeed, the three teams are covered by just seven points ahead of the first race at the 'Ring in seven years. While the possibility of an improving Ferrari may not totally rule them out just yet, with the Scuderia currently 32 points behind McLaren.
