While there's "no guarantee", Mick Schumacher says he is "not worried" about his Formula 1 future.
The German was dropped by Haas in favour of Nico Hulkenberg at the end of last year, after two disappointing seasons blighted by several crashes and few points.
Schumacher also left the Ferrari Academy, where he had been since the start of 2019, before finding refuge at Mercedes, where he is the current reserve driver.

Speaking about a potential return to the F1 grid in 2024 though, Schumacher was relaxed.
"Well, there’s obviously no guarantee, but I’m in a comfortable position where I feel I can learn, I can extract the maximum from this year even though I’m not driving," he explained.
"With the results I’ve shown in the junior categories and also in F1, I’m sure there will be opportunities.
"Over the winter a few people have already mentioned that there is interest, so in that sense, I’m not too worried.
"I’m very happy at Mercedes but my goal is to drive in Formula 1 again. We have to see how the year plays out and what opportunities there are then.”
A potential option touted for Schumacher is Audi's new F1 project coming in 2026 when they take over the current Alfa Romeo team.
And CEO Markus Duesmann indicated there had been at least some contact with the 23-year-old.
“We are currently talking to many decision-makers, drivers, team managers. There have been no concrete discussions with Mick Schumacher regarding a commitment," he told Der Spiegel.
“Of course, German drivers interest us as much as they interest the top of the parent company, but that is not a requirement for us.”
Schumacher may well be keeping an eye on the situation within Mercedes too, as Lewis Hamilton is still yet to sign a new contract beyond the end of 2023.
