Formula 1 drivers gave a mixed reaction to the performance of Pirelli's wet tyres during Italian GP practice.
Morning rain forced all the teams to run initially on the full wets before switching to the intermediates during the first session with Kimi Raikkonen and Sergio Perez hitting the barriers.
While the unique layout of Monza means getting heat into the intermediates is more difficult than at most circuits, Perez wasn't impressed with Pirelli when commenting to the media.
“There is no grip with them, they never warm-up,” the Mexican said. “It was very, very hard to warm up the tyre, and then to find any grip was hard.
"Once you lose the rear end it’s hard, once you have a bit too much slip on the rear, it just goes. It’s pretty difficult. I’ll say that the tyres are not the easiest ones.”

Max Verstappen also came over the radio admitting a lack of surprise at the incidents because of the hardness of the wet compounds.
But asked his view, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was positive.
"Today? Okay, I was actually quite happy with the tyres today," he stated.
