World champions Mercedes have confirmed the new W11 car will complete a shakedown at Silverstone on February 14.

The Brackley-based team has now made it a tradition to launch their latest creation at the British Grand Prix venue with both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas sharing duties in turning the first laps.

Although unlike previous years, the day will not be open to media and public to attend ahead of what is expected to be the toughest season yet as Mercedes aim to continue their historic run of six consecutive double championships.

This latest announcement now means half of the teams have revealed launch plans with Ferrari first on February 11th and now a double-date on Valentines Day with Mercedes joining Red Bull's rebranded junior team AlphaTauri in revealing their "true love".
