Red Bull boss Christian Horner doubts his team can catch Mercedes in the championship but is at least make Formula 1 exciting again.
Since his victory in Austria, Max Verstappen has been the man making most of the headlines thanks to great on-track battles and his brilliant win in the wet at Hockenheim.
Last Sunday, F1 saw the first real head-to-head between the Dutchman and Lewis Hamilton in Hungary with a better strategy allowing the Briton to come out on top.
And Horner hopes it is a sign of things to come.
“Thank God for Red Bull and Max Verstappen for Formula 1 at the moment because otherwise, it would be a pretty boring show," he stated to RaceFans.
“But I think it’s great that races like today, even though we didn’t come out on top, I think for Formula 1, that’s what the fans want to see.

“I think the last four races, in reality, have been great races after the bore-fest of France, hopefully with tracks that we’ve got coming up, there’s exciting races to come.
“If the grid does concertina, if we can have Max racing against Lewis and the Ferraris up there as well, it’s bright for the future.”
Following his success in Germany, some were even pondering the possibility of Verstappen threatening Hamilton in the championship, with the gap between them now 69 points after Hungary.
Horner though rubbished that suggestion.
“Lewis has close to a three-race advantage with nine races to go, so he would have to not turn up for three races," he was quoted by PlanetF1.
“It is hugely unlikely. They [Mercedes] would have to f**k up by gargantuan proportions not to win this championship.
“I think our target in the second half of the year is very much to close that gap, and as we get more performance on the car as Honda continues to make progress, this is very much a building year as we transition into 2020.”
