Team Penske driver Brad Keselowski earned his second win since the return of NASCAR on Sunday in a thrilling race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Sitting third with just five laps to go, the Coca-Cola 600 winner passed Chase Elliott and Joey Logano following an incident between the two and moved up into fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings in the process

Elliott had taken both of the first two stages, but finished 22, with Clint Bowyer coming through to claim second place ahead of Jimmie Johnson in third.

Despite an 11th place finish Kevin Harvick retained his position at the head of the standings, with fifth-placed Alex Bowman had another poor result in 37th.

After the race Keselowski said: "We kind of got a Christmas present here in Bristol. We‘ll take it.

“We were in position and able to strike when it counted with the Discount Tire Ford Mustang. Joey and Chase got together there. I don‘t know what all caused it, but we were just in position to strike and here we are in Victory Lane.”

NASCAR now takes a week break before the next event in Atlanta for the Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 next Sunday.
