Nicky Catsburg delivered another qualifying masterclass to claim the Pole Position twice in the space of three hours following another sensational lap in Slovakia where the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup is taking place this weekend.
TCR Europe regular Luca Engstler will make a one-off appearance in the WTCR on the occasion of the next event at the Slovakia Ring.
Hyundai fellow drivers Nicky Catsburg and Norbert Michelisz locked out the front row for WTCR Race 1 at the Slovakiaring.
After the two race victories by Néestor Girolami’s Honda Civic, the third and final race at the Hungaroring saw Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz restore Hyundai pride by claiming a 1-2 finish, with the Lynk&Co 03 of Yann Ehrlacher completing the podium places.
